NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN

Released on April 7, 1995, “Nights in White Satin” is a cover of The Moody Blues’ 1967 classic, and served as the lead single from Sandra’s seventh studio album, Fading Shades. This track showcases a different, more introspective side of Sandra, aligning with the original’s haunting and atmospheric qualities while adding her own unique touch.

Produced by Jens Gad and Michael Cretu, Sandra’s version of “Nights in White Satin” stays true to the melancholic and dreamy nature of the original song, while incorporating a 90s synth-pop feel. Sandra’s ethereal vocals lend a new dimension to the track, making it both a tribute to and a reinvention of the classic.

“Nights in White Satin” became a hit in several European countries, with particular success in Israel. Although it didn’t achieve major chart success in Sandra’s primary markets like Germany, the song remains a significant part of her discography, appreciated for its emotional depth and Sandra’s powerful interpretation.
